Life in the UK test questions on the inter-war years

Women over 30 who met a property condition won the vote in 1918, and in 1928 women were given the vote on the same terms as men, at 21. The 1920s brought the General Strike of 1926 and the 1930s brought the Great Depression. Ireland was partitioned in 1922, and the south became a separate country as the Irish Free State.
